One for players and one for coaches. Use whatever criteria you want. Currently active players & coaches do not count.

A whole one for coaches? Seems like it could get diluted a bit.

Coaches:
Woody
Tress
Urban
Paul Brown (wasn't there long, but figured he could take the 4 spot. Bruce has more on the resume, cause of the war... But if no war, Brown could have been the best coach in OSU history.)

Players:
Archie
Chic Harley
Those two are pretty much undebatable. For the next two, there are plenty of options, but I'll go with Willis and Spielman.

Nobis, Street, Campbell, VY

Coaches:

Rockne
Leahy
Parseghian
Holtz

Players:

Paul Horning
Johnny Lujack
Tim Brown
Leon Hart

Coaches
Bennie Owen
Bud Wilkinson
Barry Switzer
Bob Stoops

Players
Lee Roy Selmon
Brian Bosworth
Adrian Peterson
Baker Mayfield

Coaches:

Vince Dooley
Mark Richt
Kirby Smart
Wally Butts

Players:

Herschel Walker
Charlie Trippi
David Pollack
AJ Green

Not a single defensive player?

Edit nm, thought Pollack was a qb
Easy mistake. David Greene and David Pollack. Two white boys named David that were the star players for UGA in the early 00’s and neither had much of an impact in the NFL for different reasons(lack of talent for Greene, career ending injury for Pollack)

Coaches
Mark Dantonio
Clarence Munn
Duffy Daugherty

Connor Cook
Bubba Smith
LeVeon Bell
Lorenzo White

Just saw currently active coaches don’t count, so replace Kirby with Jim Donnan I guess?

Kinda hard to pick one beyond the 4 I listed. Butts was there nearly 20 years, Dooley for nearly 25 and Richt for nearly 15. Beyond that, I think 5 years was the longest run for any other non active coach

No Nick Saban ?
Nick Saban went 34-24-1 in his 5 years at Michigan State. Which is ok. But take out the last season he was 23-22-1. Coaches get fired for that nowadays. Brady Hoke was 31-20 at Michigan and got canned.

Nick Saban will go down as the greatest college football coach in history, but no one will reference any of his time at Michigan State as proof of it.

I think you have to start with the 3 Heisman trophy winners:

Bo Jackson
Cam Newton
Pat Sullivan

The 4th is tough but I think you have to go Tracy Rocker.

Coaches

Shug Jordon
Pat Dye
John Heisman
Mike Donahue

If we were doing all sports I would put:

Bo Jackson
Charles Barkley
Frank Thomas
Kristi Coventry (7 Olympic medals in swimming).

Auburn might be the only program that can legitimately leave a natty winning coach off their Mount Rushmore

Coaches with their records while at Nebraska according to Sports Reference
Tom Osborne (255-49-3)
Bob Devaney (101-20-2)
Jumbo Stiehm (35-2-3)
Walter Booth (46-8-1)

Players
Lawrence Phillips
N'damukong Suh
Tommie Frazier
Dave Rimington

Tough to choose, don't want to leave out: Gill, Rozier, Rodgers, Crouch, Green, Alberts, David, Amukamara...
