Just remember, the real victims of this are Braves, Yankees and Cubs fans. No one, and I mean NO ONE, has it worse than them according to themselves and surely this is something they can victimize themselves over as they contemplate quitting their teams because being a fan is so hard.
Definitely fair to critical and expect more from your team if they're underperforming or it feels like they should've done more with talent. My gripe is I've seen fans of them (throw in the Cardinals as well) who have threatened to quit their team altogether because of how hard they perceive being a fan of the team is and that's always irked me as a fan who kill to have half those teams' success in my life. It’s all relative. We Braves fans want a World Series. Being a good team for all but a few of the last 30 years with only one ring to show for it wears on you. Ted Turner fucking us over by signing the worst tv deal in sports on the way out and selling us to a media conglomerate in Colorado is annoying too.
Yankees fans have this incredibly arrogant stance of any season that doesn’t end in a WS title is a disappointment, and for one World Series in 20 years is gonna make em bitch.
Cubs fans thought they were building a dynasty, and they can’t be happy breaking a 108 year WA drought, and now the White Sox are the best team in town.
But nobody has it worse than Pirates fans. Greedy owners, terrible front office(Chris Archer trade gets my vote for worst of the last decade). They’re cheap, they don’t develop their talent well and they don’t make good trades. Rays and A’s are consistently good on a shoestring budget, but the Pirates can’t pull it off. I have a lot of respect for loyal Pirate fans and wouldn’t say a word if they changed teams
Speaking as a Cardinals fan, we're all pretty tired of DeWitt being a tightass.Definitely fair to critical and expect more from your team if they're underperforming or it feels like they should've done more with talent. (In total fairness I see some Steelers fans do this too and those people are dweebs).
Gonna fall on deaf ears when y’all just acquired Arenado and extended GoldschmidtSpeaking as a Cardinals fan, we're all pretty tired of DeWitt being a tightass.
