Greatest sports moments you've seen live.

Almost saw the Phillies 10,000th all time loss but they came back to win.

He's full of shit........ as usual.
I’m mostly messing around. Most people probably didn’t know that at the time, especially if he was a kid watching it.

me, i was there to see the 2010 Flyers v Rangers last game of the regular season, winner goes to playoffs / loser goes home

after an early rangers goal, Flyers trailed 1-0 nearly the entire game despite dominating. nearly 50 shots on goal, but Lundqvist just could not be beaten. finally got one by him in the mid-3rd and all the frustrations of the arena just erupted.

overtime -- the rangers just turtled and played for OT, thinking Lundqvist vs Boucher in a shootout was a lock for them (and I thought the same). but nope. Flyers won the shootout, place blew its lid off. Flyers get in playoffs (and go on to make it to the Finals)

I saw Reggie Jackson hit three homeruns in a game for the Angels at the age of 40, but I was only 10, and the memories are very vague.

Nobody saw this live unless you were at the arena. This was famously tape delayed.

I never said I saw this live.

my point was I saw all those OTHER things live but STILL this remains my favorite

edit: haha. Ok. I got what you mean now.

I grew up a few hours from Lake Placid. Word got out about the win locally before it aired. I was too young to remember any of this but that’s what I was told. I did remember seeing it on TV though. I agree, probably the single greatest sporting event ever.

Biggest event I ever saw live? That would probably have to be the 1997 NLCS Championship clinching game Marlins v. Braves.

Favorite on TV? Probably besides the Miracle on Ice, that would be the Giants beating Patriots in 2007 or Catholics v. Convicts 1988.

Live, either Chris Boswell single-handedly beating the Chiefs in the playoffs in 2017 or Mizzou beating Manziel to win the SEC East in 2013.

I would say the SEC Title Game that year, buuuuttttt....
