My rankings were based on positional groupings and a mathematical ranking system. Ducey would not have been 3rd. Ducey had a very solid team using the formula I used. Some great teams and some surprises. Tbh I think rankings should be public. If anything to see how everyone viewed the teams imo. Here’s my rankings

The problem with that is rankings are not used in the voting but they directly involve the teams eligible. I do believe we should not be able to vote our teams 1st.I’m also of the college football school where rankings are made available and public before games. Either way it’s a new system and all new systems require adjustments until they are as efficient as possible

If you say so, but they can influence a judge's opinion, that should not be allowed.
Almost nobody ranks their team first. In fact, only one person ranked themself first this draft, same as last draft just one person.
Rankings don't have any bearing on the outcome of a game, false equivalence.

It doesn't affect my opions ;) , but 5s 10s and 20s do.

Rankings hold no bearings on games each team is unique. Matchups are what decide the judging. Rankings do however directly effect which teams are eligible.

You know the ranking system I used. Broke each team down by positional groups. Backfield , receiving, offensive line, Front 7 and secondary, Assesed a point system while compensating receiving RBs to receiving, mobile QBs and blocking backs to offensive lines,coverage LBs to secondary etc. Along with defensive and offensive schemes. In order to give a complete look eye team ranking. Without putting focus on individual players.

There was no effect on voting all the match ups would be different. The rankings do have an effect on team eligibility by design. I don’t mind losing games it’s all in fun. But I do think it’s more beneficial to post our rankings beforehand like the last draft. Same concept of you can’t rank your team first. But like I said I’m more of the mindset college football system. Don’t get me wrong I lm not fond of seeing teams eliminated because of rankings that aren’t public. Keeps it a bit more pure that way imo.Tbh wouldn’t mind being a judge for football when I’m not drafting.

I just put all the teams side by side and ranked each position 1-10 without looking at who was one what team. FBs were lumped in with #2 RB, #2 TEs and #4 WRs ranking them based on my perception of their performance within their positions (not as FBs). Same with #2DT being lumped with #2 ILBs). That's just to make it easier for me.

Unfortunately this made the rankings as much about name recognition as anything, but I did spend my entire Saturday doing something else and just whipped these rankings out in 30-40 minutes.
