Yeah, a live event should be live.

I remember watching my favorite bands perform on American Bandstand when I was a kid. They just lip synced to the record that was popular at the time.

A lot of them made fun of it, "singing" or "playing" out of sync or changing the words entirely. Sometimes there would be background singing when no one on the stage was even pretending to sing.

Probably not but show some class when things go wrong... It happens. But there are many reports of her being a diva

it was for a televised NYE event...

I expect at an actual concert, she sings fo real.

but for a televised show, I've seen That Thing You Do, they don't sing on there

that fuck up has ruined her reputation, which is kind of big when you are talking about someone like her

Her reputation wasn't that great prior to that incident either..
