It's a Rump Shaker Thursday

Apparently it's better to VPN on a laptop and then cast the laptop screen to your TV than to try and do it through a Fire Stick or Roku. I'm going to try it out this football season for Eagles games.
I have an LG Tv and its not very easy to download VPN apps. I was able to "mask" the IP address but Amazon was still telling me I was subject to local blackout.

The local blackout shit is ridiculous in this day and age

Uh yes, that was the whole point of getting the VPN. But I am wondering if Amazon in their effort to control the whole world is still figuring that out?
What does Amazon have to do with MLBTV or your VPN?

Yeah, I think the better way to do it is to access a VPN on your laptop, change your location to Canada or whatever, access the MLB app through your laptop, and cast it to your TV.

I get my MLBtv scrip through Prime. MLB imposes local blackouts. Obviously they are using my local IP address to determine my location. I got a VPN to change my IP address. Amazon still says I am blacked out.

Yea I think that is what I will need to do

From mlb.com?
The issue is adding the app to the Tv. Not looking to promising. I fiddled with it some last night but got frustrated with the VPN so I just let it go for the night

Cast the app from your laptop or tablet to your TV.
