Towel warmers? Dafuq... This isn't Europe
Word.

People tend to register for all kinds of stupid shit for their weddings. I know I did.

We have a few shelves in the basement of shit that we registered for and still haven't used once. At one point, we had twenty margarita glasses, more than half of which were never taken out of their original packaging. No idea what the hell we were thinking. I guess I thought I was going to open a Mexican restaurant. We've since re-gifted most of them.

Kinda crabs?

I learned last night blue crabs are a lot of work to eat, dungenous crabs are better for the amount of time it takes to shuck them?

lots of work, but it is as much a social experience than anything else

If you like garbage.
Some people find stupidity entertaining. The main reason I come to this site is to laugh at the stupidity.

me neither...I have never heard of this kind of deal

but when a divorced couple lives in different states, you gotta do something to make it work
It's a pretty standard custody agreement. Every other weekend and summer school vacation. If one of them moves farther away every other weekend becomes impossible.

SA and her siblings have talked about her nephew coming to the USA and/or UK to stay for a month or two once he's old enough.

That's true and a different situation.

I know some people who send their kids to camp for a month or more in the summer. I'd be crying like a baby when I would drop my kids off like that.

from the sounds of it, they met in the Navy, she got knocked up early and they decided to work through it and get married...which happens with Navy relationships...but he sucked and she wanted out pretty immediately.

I don't get that kind of stuff. Or folks who send their kids away to camp for months in the summer.

I can't imagine sending my kids away for that long.
Wasn't Douche in a private prep school away from home?

How many women have you met who say "My ex is a really great guy, it was my fault that we split up"

I guess that's part of it, my kids are still pretty young. My oldest is only eleven. He's becoming more independent, but I'm too damn attached to voluntarily send him off for a month.

That's exactly what my BIL said.

He and sis were also surprised I had Old Bay in the cupboard.

There are couples who drift apart, and amicably split. I have a couple friends that have been like that.
