Saturday I made my burger stuffed with goat cheese and topped with bacon, lettuce, and fig butter.

For side dish I made bacon wrapped onion rings and jalapeno poppers AND after all the prep work, I got thirsty and had a gin and tonic(s)

I've made bacon wrapped onion rings and jalpapeno poppers before without issue, done so many times. I usually do them on my smoker and from experience usually takes 45-60 minutes to get bacon rendered and done, depending on smoker temps

Well, I did these indirect on my weber and was probably closer to 350-375 and I didn't (didn't have a therm in my grill and dome one is worthless). Knowing it was higher temp, I knew I was going to check at around 20 minutes see how it goes, well as I was reading exciting news on the twitter and enjoying a gin and tonic(s) time got away from me and I did my first check at around 40 minutes. And they were done...well, they were well past "done" and at point of still edible but vastly overcooked.

Burger however turned out, cooked medium. Me being a dork, still shared photo on FB because well, it's what I do, pics of dead animals I cook and Murray. I thought about excluding two items I fucked up, but shared my screw up and all. I still ate the onion rings and honestly, they weren't bad, it was just extra extra crispy bacon with a little char (Picture and lighting actually make it look worse, but I won't deny, way over cooked) and onions were basically just mushy coating in bacon..would've been embarrased to serve them, no issue eating them

Anyways, I'm in a burger group shared photo, again, dork, and admitted I fucked up sides. Most people were positive, but there's always a douche in world

Him: That looks disgusting
Me: Thanks

Me: Don't worry, I caught you were just being a dick
Him: That burger looks burnt and dry
Me: Cool

His only other comment in entire group, paraphrase

"most of you are idiots and give horrible reviews and have no idea what you're talking about"

He appears to be over 5'2 since I don't think it's douche

If it's a thing it's a stupid people thing.
I believe eyelash tattoos are gaining in popularity. I think it's to be more of a permanent eyeliner.

I tried stuffing a burger this weekend. Its came out alright. Not sure if its the proper way to do it or not, but i just made thing patties, put the cheese on top of one, and slapped the other patty on top. And then tried to seal the edge together. But after a bit of cooking, the edges just started to come apart. So in the end, it was just like having a double patty burger. Still came out fine.

Also thinking about making some jams to put on burgers.

I'd murder the burger, bacon looks a little crunchy, doh.

I bought a grill surface thermometer just yesterday for my gas grill. It worked pretty well until the fat flames started licking at it...

You should use a deli cup or something like that and mix the burger with whatever you want to stuff it with.
