Read an article about the area where this happened. There is no real bedrock, or stabile solid there. It's all just saturated sand. This place was built in the 80s, during the cocaine peak, and probably should have never been built.

There was some documentation of building inspections, and that place was estimated to be sinking at 2mm a year, in the 1990s. Sounds like a combination of bad construction, paid off officials, and a matter of time.

Also could have been a sink hole.

That's not surprising and I'm sure it won't be the last one to collapse either. There's a lot of condos sitting on beaches all over the country that are starting to get old. Throw in rising sea levels en sech and I'm sure a lot of their fates will be sealed in the not too distant future.

I recently saw a video with a dude moving two little brand new white tails out of the road. He was commenting, saying they were probably only a few hours old but I didn’t realize just how teensie they were at that age…he was picking them up with one hand like a large puppy! Sooo cute!
