What the hell was this even about with this guy?

Did he just randomly give up and decide to dump anything that might qualify as a lead on anything that could be remotely scandalous? That whole thing was so weird.

Extremely weird. He said the night before he wants to sleep on some things. I….don’t feel like he did. He woke up and said fuck it and just threw countless, unsubstantiated bullshit out there.

Utley was the biggest cheater….EVER?? I admit that I’m a homer on the guy, I know a lot of people don’t like the way he played or went into second base…..but biggest cheater ever?

It was that kind of hyperbole, mixed with nothing substantiated that made me feel it could only go like this.

He deserves all the ire he’s getting for this. Moron.

Definitely fair to critical and expect more from your team if they're underperforming or it feels like they should've done more with talent. My gripe is I've seen fans of them (throw in the Cardinals as well) who have threatened to quit their team altogether because of how hard they perceive being a fan of the team is and that's always irked me as a fan who kill to have half those teams' success in my life.

(In total fairness I see some Steelers fans do this too and those people are dweebs).

Utley was a douche for the teams he chose to play with, but it’s Tejada that everyone should be pissed at for the takeout slide rule, just like Posey for the blocking the plate rule. Glass bones shouldn’t take away some of the most exciting plays in the game

A douche for the teams he played for? How so?

I was fine with how Utley and others chose to go hard into second when it was allowed, and I also don’t have any regret that it is verboten now. Plays at second, meh.

While I’m also fine with taking down injury risk on plays at the plate I do admit that the way it’s addressed (possibly the only way to address it) is odd and stupid.

You can’t willingly play for the Phillies and Dodgers and not be a douche. If you’re drafted by them fine, but to sign an extension is just cringeworthy
