I’ve only fished in the ocean once, and that was for trout in the flats of Steinhatchee, FL. Only caught a few trout, caught a shit ton of ladyfish

Never fished from a beach or pier. I’m a mostly river, sometimes lake, creek or farm pond fisherman

There’s some pretty big freshwater fish around here. Longnose gar, blue cats, flathead cats, striper, etc

And I love seafood, but as far as fish go, I’d rather eat crappie, bream, bluegill or catfish over any ocean fish.

I love catfish and trout. May get some today at Costco.

Best ocean fish I've had are Pacific barracuda, halibut, albacore tuna, sea bass and mahi mahi.
I also like some of the less popular fish like mackerel, bonita, perch and squid.

I like the grouper and flounder, but I prefer the river monsters. If I’m gonna eat seafood, give me some shrimp, scallops, crab, clam, calamari, etc

The salmon industry is one of the most corrupt industries out there.

There is a high probability that you are eating some farmed bullshit that is basically painted pink, among many other problems as well. Aquacultures do not work with fish that are predators.

Unless you can know for certain it's wild-caught, you are likely doing yourself more harm than good by eating.



It is also overrated af, just as an actual meal.
