Whenever it was he said he was sick and in a nursing home for rehab or something. Never said anything about his dying wife.

Quite possible.

He was in pretty big denial about his wife.
 
The only thing I know about horse racing (and it’s prolly booshit) is if you see the descriptor that a horse is on Lasix for the first time, bet on that shit.

Yeah, I had to shift up my strategy.

I still enjoy going, but I don't win as often or as much as I used too

They partnered with nearby casino which has increases purses and helped quality of races. They also changed their schedule which has them racing on Tuesday and Wednesday nights and no Friday/Saturday. The track attendance is down, but the betting is up due to less competition on nights they do race from simulcast wagering

His wife likely died a long long time ago. He ran the same game for 10 years with the "dying wife" thing. He was a lonely old timer that got the best of most Hoopsters but paid money to only one boy toy.... @Camfantasy
 
So, about the cropdusters. Sitting on the front porch with a cup right now and one went by doing the field across the road. 50 yards away, 20 feet off the ground. What a rush.
