The problem is, after Nebraska last time we got Maryland and Rutgers. We can’t add Maryland and Rutgers again. So we need to go for big names to match Texas OU or get left behind.

SEC says yes to OU and Okie State but no to Texas per A&M.
Texas hits the road for the BIG and KU comes with. Big financial gets for the BIG.
ND joins the ACC as a full member and WVU finally gets it's invite to the ACC (where they really should be anyway) and makes that conference more interesting.

PAC nabs TCU/BU/ISU/BYU. That conference needs as much help from above as it can get.

Texas Tech and KState get left for the AAC and fit in quite well.

Done and done.
