My worst nightmare is OU and Texas go to the SEC and Texas finally gets its shit together. Actually hires a decent coach and then kicks their recruiting into high gear which eventually makes them the team to beat instead of Alabama. Cycles.....they are weird. Fate is a bitch and so is her sister Karma. :tsk:

I’m nixing this now. UGA will not share a division with a bunch of Tuscaloosa inbreds

Who else would the ACC add? ACC commish is staying at my hotel, I'll tell him to add WVU
How many more will they need. I think is push comes to shove ND would go with them. They could legitimately add Cincinnati or UConn. Two new states to them, one with a huge history in hoops and the other is an up and comer in both the big ones.

Also how does Tobacco Road still feel on academics? I know they let in UL, but maybe they aren’t so forgiving this time around.

JMO but nah, the markets wont mean as much now with internet TV going strong. I think WVU is in a better position now than they were a few years ago.
I agree WVU is in a better spot then last time. Still think markets and academics will matter. Both aren’t exactly on our side.

Some of the smaller SEC members very well might nix the deal. If you're Florida...Georgia..Tennessee and you're avoiding Bama every year; you don't want to flip things around and make that a reality. The only benefit for some of the lesser schools is the financial gain. Will that be enough to get them to vote for a system where they may not win anything anytime soon?

WVU should be reaching out to the ACC immediately.

at the end of the day..money talks.. and I doubt they are all scared of Bama like that.. UF was swinging toe to toe with them last year for a good stretch and that was most likely the best Bama team under Saban

This says that Oklahoma can leave without Oklahoma State in tow.
Separate Board of Regents and the Legislature has no power.
Not sure I believe all that, but here it is.

Tennessee gets to play Bama’s whipping boy every year. They’d probably be in favor just so UGA and Florida are now in the same boat as them

There won't be enough money available to make the SEC willing to put up with Texas' bullshit. They are a cancer that kills everything they touch.

"But we're TEXAS!" isn't just a meme.

I hope it does happen, because it will cause a dramatic domino effect throughout college football. And it likely means a 12 team playoff is imminent. No way this happens with a 4 team playoff in play.

Also, UGA has upcoming home and homes with both Oklahoma and Texas. It would screw up UGA’s big balls non conference schedule that’s lined up for the next 12 years

ACC needs to play hard ball with Notre Dame. They've got a good opportunity to establish a strong presence in the Northeast and they can't let ND screwing around as an Independent mess that up.

ACC North:
Syracuse
Boston College
Pittsburgh
Notre Dame
West Virginia
Louisville
Virginia
Virginia Tech

ACC South:
Florida State
Miami FL
Georgia Tech
Clemson
UNC
NC State
Wake
Duke

4 Pod System
Play the 3 other teams in your own Pod.
Play 2 teams from each of the other 3 Pods, rotating 2 years on 2 years off.

That's 9 games right there.

Pod playoff
Conference Championship

Total of 11 Games in SEC play.

Maybe limit it to that or have 1 OOC game.

We don’t want a team willing to leave their little brother behind. Shows a lack of character
