Play the 3 other teams in your own Pod.
Play 2 teams from each of the other 3 Pods, rotating 2 years on 2 years off.

That's 9 games right there.

Pod playoff
Conference Championship

Total of 11 Games in SEC play.

Maybe limit it to that or have 1 OOC game.
i'm thinking the only real permanent games are FL/UGA, Bama/AU, Bama/TN, OleMiss/MSU, UT/ou, UT/Aggy.. am I missing more?

also the osu statement doesn't seem ideal that they can force themselves with ou either

Too Bad for them.
They had 100 years to make their Football Program relevant...... They Didn't.

OSU made great strides with Boone's money, but now seem to be squandering it on a burnt out Coach.

And really, I liked a 12 team conference. We’ll just let the Big 12 take Missouri back and give them Mississippi State and we’ll call it good and the Big 12 can have 12 teams again

At some point, when these conferences get too large, are teams really in conferences together anymore? If you're playing another team like once a decade, are you really in the same conference? It seems more like we're entering an MLB/NFL type system where we're creating leagues and divisions within those leagues.

I got ninja'ed on the DSOR but add the Egg bowl as well.

It's like that right now.
Georgia has scheduled/played 5 regular season games vs Alabama this Century.

Wherever the money is is what’s gonna happen, but 14 is really pushing it and 16 is too much IMO

They are going to need 11 votes. A&M, Missouri and Arkansas are going to be a "no" on Texas. They are going to need to convince one other school to join them.

There has always been a gentleman's agreement between Georgia/Florida/SC that when it comes to expansion, they will always vote no on Clemson, FSU and Georgia Tech. I'm going to assume that gentleman's agreement now includes A&M.
There you go, assigning gender.

In hindsight, I now understand the push for 12 team playoff instead of 8.

I'm wondering why Clemson and Florida State didn't try to make this deal before Oklahoma/Texas did.
Clemson wouldn’t add much market value. Already a South Carolina team and Clemson despite their success doesn’t have the same weight as Texas

Florida State is doable, but there’s 3 no votes off the bat

I hope it does happen, because it will cause a dramatic domino effect throughout college football. And it likely means a 12 team playoff is imminent. No way this happens with a 4 team playoff in play.
I think this hurts the new playoff talks.
