Lost to Cam Newton twice that year. Especially galling because we had a big lead over Auburn in the regular season game and let them come back. Had we won that game, I'm not sure Auburn is even in the CCG.

That was our last shot at any kind of title.

The ones you should be checking on are the fans of the big12 teams being left high and dry. Those same fans that criticized A&M for seeing what Texas was pulling and jumping ship. Instead the Bayor/tech fans were all saying A&M was wrong for seeing Texas for the assholes they are. Not hearing that anymore.

No, A&M didn't trust a thing Texas and OU said back during the Pac12 talks that fell apart. We set out on our own path and told "big brother" to get bent.

The B12 is done. There really is no reason to even add easterly teams. This conference won’t retain a P5 status so myswell join a G5 where most teams are close Distance wise. I of course say this with the premonition that a few other current B12 members won’t be members for to much longer ethier.

I agree whole heartedly with everything else you just said.

10 years ago when all the T-Sip idiots would claim A&M was "running away from the big 12" I pointed out that A&M was going seeking more stability, away from a group of assholes in Austin that will stab you in the back if it will make them $.25. I said A&M needed to get out before Texas decided they could do better somewhere else and left A&M standing holding our peckers. Back then it was Texas flirting with the Pac12 in order to negotiate the LHN. A&M told Texas to fuck off and everyone thought we were stupid for looking out for ourselves instead of hoping Texas isn't run by a bunch of two faced pricks. Well Tech and OkieSt...how do you guys feel about it now?

A&M was proactive and did what we wanted and what was best for us, not listening to any BS from T-Sip fans. Now we see Texas is chasing A&M around to greener pastures. They can't even be relevant in a weak ass big12, but now wants to join the SEC. Good stuff.

I'm not being friends with the same fans who criticized A&M for doing nothing but getting out ahead of the shit storm those same fans now find themselves in.

I'm with you ralphie. Bing 12 is done. Since I'm only 90 miles from Lubbock, I live around A LOT of Tech fans and seem even more resigned to the fact that they are going to have to choose between 3-4 options....all BAD ones.

What does your crystal ball say happens to each of the remaining 8 schools?

You have hitched your horses to the Texas wagon, and it'll cost ya. May take another decade, but it'll cost you. The fact that Texas is bandwagoning on your success (albeit against what is essentially G5 level conference foes) should give you pause. But it doesn't. And that's on you.

Hope to god the other P5 conferences panic and start major realignment. Otherwise I guess they could try the independent route for a few years until realignment does happen.

We would not have been in the SECCG had y'all held the lead that game. I actually thought y'all would get us in the CG until the Hail Mary that ended the first half. That seemed to take the wind out of your sails.
