Your team’s most heartbreaking loss

A lot to choose from with no clear #1 for UCF.

But these are the ones that have kinda stuck with me, personally:

2010 vs USM
2011 @ FIU
2011 @ BYU
2013 vs S. Carolina
2019 @ Tulsa
2020 vs Tulsa

I have nothing against WVU, but I hope the B1G picks up USC, UCLA, Cal, Stanford, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Kansas, ISU, and K-St. Having 4 pods of 6, playing 5 annual games and 1 rotating from each other pod with 4 non-cons.
You rooting for that means you hate WVU……

Too dang many to count. After a while, you come to the realization that if all of them are embarrassing, then NONE of them really are.

And then you remember you DGAF, you just wanna drink.

:drink:

i was at this game thinking that Baylor was going to come back and win it

I'll admit, it's pretty embarrassing losing to South Carolina

I would not mind seeing WVU in the B1G. I just think that the PAC teams offer more in terms of markets, interesting match ups, and the Rose bowl fits. I added CU, ISU, KSU, and KU because that would be similar to Nebraskas historic match ups... which I greatly miss. The B1G has never felt like home, maybe we just need more time. If they opted to get WVU in conference, I would not complain though.

JFC. They created a term just for our school and these kind of moments. The one I remember the most was 2010 at Auburn against Cam. Just coming off the ACC title the previous year. Jamie Harper made one of the best catches I've seen from a RB on wheel route for a td. Chances late to win it. Kyle Parker missed a wide open guy for a td. Catanzaro missed an easy fg to lose in OT. Parker was never the same. Team went 6-7.
Clemson didn't win the ACC in 2009. Georgia Tech did.

i remember this game well

i was annoyed that Clemson lost, so I made the SPICIEST hot take ever about that Auburn team. I am not going to repeat that take. Just know that it would belong on the "Old Takes exposed" twitter account's HOF list.

2005 Bush Push game

1993 Loss to BC after knocking off FSU. I think that was the turning point for the program for the next decade and a half. Last major bowl win was that year.

Ones I can remember:

No explanation needed.

Both teams sucked but what a choke job by ND.

Some HM's:

2005 against Michigan State
2000 against Nebraska
Whatever year it was we lost to UConn - more so embarrassing than heartbreaking.

That sounds HORRIBLE.

January 8th, 2007. To watch my beloved Buckeyes get annihilated in the National Title game by the fucking gators of all teams, that shit burned. That shit burned bad.

Not afraid ... it's part of our past ...

... and pretty much the existence of the ohio state buckeyes.

The 2016 OSU game actually destroyed me. More than any last second loss of the last 3 decades. In terms of just pure sadness it was that and probably the 2006 game.

For me 1982 Nebraska @ Penn St.
Penn St won (27-24) in the final seconds with the help of this out of bounds catch.

Nebraska finished the season 12-1 with a win over LSU in the Sugar Bowl.
Penn St won the natty at 11-1.

You should have done what I did. I turned the channel in both the 2015 Michigan State game and 2016 Ohio State game because I thought both were over.
