Amazing that the SEC would agree to going down in quality so easy.
Yeah, what were they thinking.

Oh, here was their thinking.. As long as you bring in enough money for us to increase our share, we don't care if you are worth a shit or not. As evidence I present to you Rutgers and Maryland to the B1G.

please tell me this is real

I knew this was going to happen....pleasantly VERY surprised it happened now. I thought we would be hamstrung by the GOR?
A little disappointed that the dongers are following us, but they’re smart for doing so.

Fuck you Big XII. You deserve everything to come.

Haha Neb. The one thing you bitter-ass haters used to make out like you somehow won by running away is now moot. L-O-fucking-L!!!

Next.
The lack of noblesse oblige by Oklahoma and their fans is disturbing. Oklahoma spent almost 100 years in the Big 6/7/8/12 working on their brand. I, for one, will miss OU being in Iowa State's Conference. If the teams OU built their brand on are not worthy of OU's respect, then - perhaps, neither is OU's brand. Just my onion. Good luck in the SEC. In the mean-time, looking forward to a GREAT 2021 Big Xii season!

Well Nebraska did win. As did Missouri and A&M.

1) Economically for 10 years.
2) The Big 12 became unsustainable and eventually collapsed.

One could say Colorado also won on #2, but not on #1 with the $38 million - $32 million payout ratio.
Nebraska, Mizzour and A&M definitely won the money game on Tier 1 and 2 payouts compared to SOME of the Big 12. I saw somewhere that Texas, OU and Kansas surpass some other conference payouts when their Tier 3 money is factored in. Not the other seven though. But, I could be wrong.

Another case of the SEC being a follower not a leader.

Or Oklahoma.
Since I've been watching football, our record is 32-4 vs Missouri

That certainly isn't a rivalry.
Rivalry isn’t all records. To me a rivalry game is one you want to watch, despite the records. RRS is a great example. Not a fan in either side walks into that game comfortable about winning, despite the current records.

One could only say that about Texas in regards to PAC and ACC.

You'd have to go back and do a year-to-year analogy since these conference media rights deals are 'fluid'. The only thing that wasn't fluid was LHN.

The Big 12 payout + LHN was $50 mil for 2019 season
The SEC payout was $45 million for 2019 season
The Big 10 payout was $54 million for 2019 season

I haven't even sought the 2020 season #'s because of Covid. As I pointed out the payouts are 'fluid' per the contracts. How many eyeballs here and there on a particular season.

That's why articles explaining new tv contracts say "potentially" regarding conference payouts per team going forward.

Big 12 and SEC teams could have certainly gotten bigger payouts because the Big 10 did not play OOC games in 2020 and had in conference games cancelled due to Covid issues with one team or another. That Michigan did not play Ohio St was a big hit.
My understanding is the Big 10 owes it's tv partners (ESPN/FOX) 20 football games of value from last season. ESPN/FOX simply doesn't have to pay the Big 10 for those 'missed' games.

We always look out for numero uno and tried to help this thing float along long-term, but ISU voted down expansion just like every other NON-REVENUE GENERATING school. So pardon our attitude but tough shit. Y’all made the bed now go shit in it again.

I want to see the rest of the Big XII teams do well. Correct that; I want them to do great. Yeah there are a couple of teams like Iowa State and Oklahoma State I want that more for than others but, on balance, I want everyone to be OK. Most Oklahoma fans feel the same way. If it was in my power to do it, I'd add two more teams to the SEC and I know some people on here would hate it but I'd take Oklahoma State with us in a heartbeat and also add North Carolina to the SEC. That, to me would be perfect. But it won't happen. So I want Iowa State, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and TCU to end up in an expanded Pac 12 and then run roughshod in that conference. Everyone else can find homes in conferences that want them and would be a good fit. Truthfully, Baylor is the only school I couldn't care less about. Agree with you: looking forward to a great Big XII season. It won't be easy playing you guys.

If the SEC adds two more teams, it sounds like it’ll be FSU and Clemson

Your faux outrage agaisnt one of the better members of the Big Xii (3rd largest Football Stadium, 2nd largest basketball arena, passionate fan base in both sports, AAU school, Top 10 nationally in women's basketball attendance, historical wrestling program, etc.) is noted.

Iowa State has NEVER done anything to Oklahoma to hold them back. As a matter of fact, with less money and less network coverage, Iowa State has developed one of the top 2 football programs in the Big Xii. It's going to be a fantastic Big Xii football season in 2021!

Iowa State will land softly somewhere, and I wish OU good tidings in the SEC.

I always wonder how things would have played out if Larry Scott accepted UT and LHN. Instead of saying no, he should have said yes, and exclude UT out of it's tier 3 rights. PAC Network would have immediately been picked up everywhere.. I also think ESPN would have significantly reduced the payout for LHN had they moved and who knows, by now it may have not existed anymore.

Will Florida and South Carolina allow that ? I though was some agreement to not allow ?
There was an agreement between Florida, SC and UGA about not approving FSU, Clemson or GT, but I think it’s out the window now, and it’ll take 4 nay votes, so even if the agreement is still in place, they’d have to get someone else to vote with them.

I would understand saying that about Texas since they are running a 2 game losing streak to that shit show Maryland.
lol.. ok? I don't know you or the school you root for, but you do know TEXAS #HOOKEM

The P5 and G5 need to separate now too once the dust settles. There will be no way any expansion happens after these moves, no G5 school will be able to bring in a market or value enough to take a slice of the pie. If you aren't fortunate to be part of the group now, you likely won't be. Cincy, UCF, Memphis, Houston.... good luck, looks like some current P5s may be joining you.

I know Texas has never beat Michigan State.

Well, since everyone is calling OU a whore anyway, we'll vote against them coming into our conference if someone will slip us $30 Million.
