There was an agreement between Florida, SC and UGA about not approving FSU, Clemson or GT, but I think it’s out the window now, and it’ll take 4 nay votes, so even if the agreement is still in place, they’d have to get someone else to vote with them.
I could see those 3 holding strong and Kentucky going along with them. I think it’d be much more challenging to get FSU and Clemson in then Texas was.

If the money is right, it would be unanimous yes votes IMO.

I think the SEC is done for now but there was a rumor going around about FSU and Clemson looking into joining the SEC

The P5 and G5 need to separate now too once the dust settles. There will be no way any expansion happens after these moves, no G5 school will be able to bring in a market or value enough to take a slice of the pie. If you aren't fortunate to be part of the group now, you likely won't be. Cincy, UCF, Memphis, Houston.... good luck, looks like some current P5s may be joining you.
Truthfully I’d be for a relegation system if they did this.

top 40 in the top league.
41-80 in league 2.
81- whatever in league 3.

Only play teams in your league.

Bottom 5 teams in top league and league 2 move down.
Top 5 teams in league 2 and league 3 move up.

Only National Champion can be crowned from top league.

That’s true. Money rules all.

If the SEC added Clemson and FSU (which I unfortunately think they should) would they stop there or would they go try and get tOSU and Michigan to get to 20? Would they even stop there?

I think we’re gonna eventually get to a point where the top 30-35 programs will form a championship division of their own

Yeah, I think the sport is changing. Those schools actually may want Clemson and FSU in for the brands and to retain the rivalry game in an in-conference format.

Georgia Tech really isn't that competitive anymore and its fan base is small. I think GT won't get an invite. They blew it when they left in the 1960s.

I think SEC will still try to somewhat stay Southeast (at least initially). Clemson and FSU are the next logical step. After them would probably be North Carolina, Virginia Tech, and/or Miami.

Here is the thing though, I think the ACC and SEC get along better than the other leagues. I am not so sure the SEC would want to poach from the ACC, at least anytime soon. The ACC also has great TV potential with the foot print they cover. The ACC is far more healthy than the Big12. The only issue with the ACC is the same problem as the B1G, they are a one-team league right now. Still there is always potential FSU or Miami comeback to prominence.

This is part of what's wrong with college football. Nice job NCAA, sit back and watch this happen.
This move isn't good for Oklahoma or Texas. Their win totals will be lower but their bank account will be higher.

Your faux outrage agaisnt one of the better members of the Big Xii (3rd largest Football Stadium, 2nd largest basketball arena, passionate fan base in both sports, AAU school, Top 10 nationally in women's basketball attendance, historical wrestling program, etc.) is noted.

Iowa State has NEVER done anything to Oklahoma to hold them back. As a matter of fact, with less money and less network coverage, Iowa State has developed one of the top 2 football programs in the Big Xii. It's going to be a fantastic Big Xii football season in 2021!

Iowa State will land softly somewhere, and I wish OU good tidings in the SEC.
It ain’t faux broux. I truly despise the BXII and have stated so on numerous occasions. I couldn’t be happier y’all will be the kings of the AAC.

With the ACC GOR till 2036, it’s gonna be a while for anything happening there

FSU and Clemson to the SEC; Virginia, UNC and Duke to the Big10 may just make the ACC dissolve.

Yeah, I don't see the SEC expanding anytime soon. They will need to consolidate and digest getting the two big titans they just grabbed.

Also, Clemson and FSU will need to approach SEC first. I do believe Sankey that Oklahoma and Texas asked first and there wasn't an effort to recruit them.

I will say this, though. Clemson and FSU have both wanted the SEC for a while and, in many ways, they fit better with the SEC than the ACC.

I heard somewhere UNC is tied to the hip of NCst. Not sure the B1G would take them but maybe

Add Ky and Louisville and you get the 4 SEC teams that had the ability to block adding one. I read somewhere that wasn't really as big a deal as people are making it out to be. The run at FSU was real back in the day. Those teams are not dumb. If it brings in another 20 million a year, they will say yes.

I just don't want to gut CFB as we know it. I hope it stops here.

ACC may be locked til 2034 or whatever, but it's going to have schools leave way before that anyways, especially after seeing the projections of payouts elsewhere. Wouldn't be surprised to hear this time next year FSU/Clemson requesting invites to the SEC

Weak sauce.
Yeah, well you aren't in the conversation. We - our new OU and TX brethren - where poking fun at one another. We acknowledge that you have far more fat, homely corn fed bowlers than even Vandy. Congrats.
