Big 12 thread

The question is what is he letting him get away with? There hasn’t been anything, but speculation as to the events. I know he screwed up, but I don’t know what exactly happened. I would assume his teammates will be the ones that make the call
Stuff like this causes friction between the the apologists on a team and the players who don’t like a quitter. I‘ve got experience being around someone like him. The vast majority of people around the guy don’t even like him right now. And they’ll never forget it.

ahh yes, those guys had no idea what they are doing BUT these guys KNOW what they are doing.. Whatever you do please keep the S&C guy, he's great with physical development and avoiding injuries (outside of pec tears, shoulder sprains, bicep tears).

Abdul Adams is missing for one...I'll think of others if they exist.

SMH These guys bitch about being exploited and treated like dirt but when they do something like this they suddenly realize The Man can live without their ass and they suddenly want to repent to keep a sweet deal going. OK, he comes back and no one learns a hard lesson in life. And these guys (all colors and all schools and all whatever) are still going to bitch about how disrespected they are. Nobody should throw rocks at Texas because we're all having to tolerate these prima donnas in this era of super sensitivity. Now back to our regular programming.

Jeebus, B12, tf you guys doing losing to Louisiana, Coastal Carolina and Arkansas State? Seriously, wtf happened?

TBH the only real surprise was KSU losing to Ark St. KU is still in full rebuild mode, and Iowa St struggles against anyone in the opener. Could be P5 or G5/FCS.. it's clockwork

Texas Tech's win is worse than any of those three losses IMO. Coach GQ's proteges at HBU came to town and played pretty well.

I honestly had Tech tied with KU for the worst team in the Big12 this season

Can't remember the last time I saw something like this for my Texas Longhorns..

Maybe I should have used your terms. Tech's win was less impressive than the other losses IMO. But only because I think HBU isn't near as good as the other three opponents. But none of the four looked ready to play. Hell, at least they started which is more than can be said for about 60 other teams.

This is going to be a wacky year all around IMO. WHEN factors occur within teams may have as much to do with WHAT the factors/issues are. Injuries, order of opponents, etc have always been factors but the other things added on may make this one a real up and down season. I'm of the belief that at some point(s) in the season, these four teams are going to have things fall their way and play others that are having everything go wrong and look about as good as they did bad last week. But, if I knew when I'd own Vegas.

They lost to them last year but I think Tech's better. But that may be because I like what the Tech coach is trying to get done. I've never been a grass eater fan.

Still the 2nd Saturday in October but it is going to be weird with no State Fair going on. Are they going to have fans at the Cotton Bowl?
yep think each school is going to have 12000 or so tickets to allot

People are going to really over react to the Big 12 struggles this past weekend.. There isn't much to talk about as far as CFB, so get ready for all the hot takes. Had this happened during the week the SEC played a full Saturday, it wouldn't get nearly the amount of headlines it is today..

Also even if KSU eeked out a win and Iowa st pulled out a 1 point win.. The talk would have STILL been the same. It is what it is, which is why I don't care unless I was a fan of those teams..

Also.. Can't wait to roll up 60 points against Tech..IN LUBBOCK, u praire dogs thought you had it bad this past weekend.. wait and see what happens

Zappe is a pretty good Sr QB,
and he's got some talented receivers -
and as you alluded to earlier,
HBU is essentially runnin the old Tech offense -
Tech rarely brought pressure,
and Zappe just shredded the secondary -

i'll suggest that the passing attack of HBU
is more proficient than that of many FBS teams.

wreck em!

I'm about to be obnoxious to my family members who went there. They still live in Plainview, TX.. others migrated outside of PHX.. they will never let the Crabtree play down everytime i see them or talk to them... then you add the Mahomes clincher in 2017.. smh

funny!

btw, that was carter/shimonek at qb,
but it was ehlinger who threw the two late picks
which gave tech the win -

guns up!
