Imma have the new spot smarted out though. Lights, appliances, TVs, plugs, ambient lighting, cove lighting, smart displays in most rooms, garage, security cameras, doorbell, smoke detectors, blinds... All that shit. I'm already buying most of it piece by piece now so I can overspend on a media room later instead lulz

If a cockroach farts in my kitchen I want a god damn notification on my phone telling me what the son of a bitch ate last night.

You think a builder is going to let you go in and do that shit? You think you can afford to pay a builder to do all the shit for you?

That mother fucker will have to if I put it in the plans. I'm not so sure if I build though that I won't be doing most of the electrical myself. I know a licensed electrical contractor who would oversee what I did for free

Everything is Wifi now, no need for too many wires. Run ethernet lines everywhere, and thats all you need.

Yea I just mean the plugs necessary to get power to the various devices. The wifi will be legit. Same Google mesh system I have now.

You mount a bad ass wifi extender in the middle of your house, on the ceiling, run ethernet and power to it. Thats how all the new builds here are. Put a router in a smart panel(low voltage panel) with ethernet lines to everyroom, and have the wifi for the laptops and cell phone where ever you are.

Yea but these new mesh systems work without all of the Ethernet wires feeding each one.... But just feed the main one. You put the other beacons around the house and it widens your internet range all over the house

Still good to have the wire.
Also means you have options as to where you decide to put your main setup too.
