Short week Monday

finished up the White Lotus on HBO, pretty good series, I guess they got S2 with all new cast

Finale was anti-climatic and they could've left a little to the imagination with one scene, but

i should probably check that out one of these days. recently started watching alone a few weeks back. Got through 5 seasons already.

i would suck on the show from a practical standpoint, but don't get how the people that can actually manage crap out because of the isolation, pussies.

so my company has always done this golf tournament at the end of September for the Believe in Tomorrow foundation and I usually play in it. Well I guess the guy who usually coordinates it is having some issue getting alignment from the company for whatever reason, so decided to do the tournament on his own without the affiliation from the company, scheduled for the last weekend in Sept.

I get an email from the company today saying "hey, we're hosting a golf tourmament!" The email gives you all the information except for the actual date of the tournament because our communications chick sucks at her job.

so basically they decided to do a competing tournament.

having to decide which golf tournament to play in.

just goes to show, it's pretty rough out there for everyone.

I put on a Heart Association golf tournament and I swore I'd never do that shit ever again. I worked my ass off lining everything up from booze, prizes, beer cart girls, players, and all kinds of free stuff. And I was running a company at the time. I had a girl from the Heart Assoc. call me and she asked if there was anything she could do to help. I said yes there is. We don't have any hot dog buns. Can you get me about 300 HD buns? She says, well we've found that things go a lot smoother when the host of the tournament solicits for those items. And I said, "You asked me what you could do and I told you. Don't bother me again calling me if you don't care to help me." I swore I'd never put on another tournament.

I just never expected "golf tournament drama" to be something I would deal with this year.
 
I have a phone interview this evening with a company in Portland, ME.

I did not plan that at all or apply...
