That part I 100% agree with and will enjoy actually seeing people... Will make the day go a lot faster. It's just there is no need with my job to actually be in an office

There are other components sometimes. Could be tax benefits for having workers on premises. Could be contractual obligations with businesses around the area to have certain number of workers on site.

Could be none of that and they just want co-workers to make connections.

my new SMIB neighbor hung string lights all around their property yesterday. They were out there all day with chainsaws and I was wondering what the fuck they were doing. It looks like they are planning to host a damn carnival now. The whole street is lit up and the fuckers aren't on a timer, just on all night.

Had to argue a case this morning that I was dreading because I knew we were going to get curbstomped....sure enough, we certainly did. I told my client I didn't think we should bring the case, but they insisted. Terrible way to start a morning. Not exactly motivating to get a lot done the rest of the day. I'd join Bender in the gin drinking if I didn't have so much crap to get done.
