Butt hurt much? You spend half a day pulling up some obscure stats to try and shape your narrative and throw a hissy fit when someone questions your methodology? Whatever dude. If you want to argue your Jeter, Helton, Edgar led lineup is better than Brett, Bonds and Mantle, by all means, knock yourself out.Or, how about this, you do a graph showing career HRs per team, game, ab, 162 games, or however you want. I'm not here to be anyone's statistician. When you get the results you want then you can share them with everyone.
I'm sorry that you're unsatisfied that a team with Bonds and Mantle didn't perform better in HRs the way I did it. I mean, despite 3 500 HR guys, to my 0 - your team's career HRs only outpaces mine by 80 (I'm not taking the time to figure out everyone else's right now).
I tried to be fair. Balance long careers vs. short flashes. One hit wonders get credit for their great seasons, while long careers get credit for their longevity. But, if you think I came up with this to specifically make my team look better, that's not true. I finished up the offenses just before midnight my time last night and I thought I'd share my work with everyone.
If this makes my offense look good, that's just because my offense will look good statistically. I'd say my offense will look good if you ran their numbers through all the scenarios you posted. Since I spent the 3rd most on offense of anyone in the draft, I'd hope it'd look good.
Don't worry, this team won't win. This offense looks pretty much like every offense I put up - and it never garners enough support to get much done.
Maybe next mock you can write another book documenting how your pick of Matthew Stafford threw for twice as many yards as my Montana pick and how many more yards Frank Gore ran for than Jim Brown. Solid Work
