But who is going to invite Tech? Techs not jumping to a G5 to help out OU/TX. This needs to be one of the other Power conferences doing it and right now the PAC doesn’t have it high on their list high to help ESPN/SEC.

Just a hypothetical if they do have an offer elsewhere.. But they have been quiet and did not have the angry outburst other schools had

I get it but at this point in time the Orphans will need an invite to a P5 conference to break this up. Logically at the moment the only conference that could think about it is the ACC. But having the ACC do this doesn’t help ESPN in getting that exclusive playoff coverage. So really there is no benefit to doing something illegal which that likely is. Thats why many that say the other power conferences will wait until TX/OU cut thatGOR check to expand if they do at all.

That’s fair, I’m still holding out hope but it wouldn’t surprise me at all if we are stuck in the AAC and then eventually the MAC.

I don’t know why the B1G would agree to any of that especially not poaching from the other conferences. I think it’s all BS and they just agreed to make OU and TX either stay as long as possible or pay as much as possible. That just screws OU and TX. The B1G leadership is being reactive and not proactive so basically pussies

The second thing is they probably agreed to a 12 team playoff and limit the number of teams from one conference to 3 which will come out later. This is just admitting they are scared of the SEC and don’t have confidence in their own schools. First time the B1G has 4 strong teams they will be screaming to change it.
