The leg he slid on definitely didn’t touch the plate. Maybe his left foot or leg did, idk. He prolly doesn’t even know, but the ump might.I was gonna say, is that the only/best angle that we have of it? If I wanted to show him being "obviously safe" that is not the clip I would use.
There were other angles showed last night that showed he was clearly safe. But in real time the umpire is gonna call that out every time, and you can’t rely on replay. They had to show different angles and slow it way down before you could see his foot touched home before the tag.
Stupid send anyways. Why would you send your 6’5 first baseman not known for his speed from first on a ground ball up the middle?
