Thee PAC 12, Big 10, and ACC (Alliance) are Dividing Up tOrphaned 8 As We Plorst.

Red Alert is correct, it wouldn't make sense for any Big12 teams to announce they are moving to another league at the moment. They want to collect the buy-out from OU/Texas. The only way that would happen is if some other, better, deal was struck for some or all of the Big12 remaining schools. The key word could be "some".

There could be a weird scenario played where one of the Big12 teams is "encouraged" to leave early, help OU/Texas out, and make a killing doing it. Very doubtful but it is feasible and would be extremely dirty.
The only conference I see having the cache to do such would be the B1G and it would be offered to Kansas. I don't see the other two ponying up cash to do so. But, what the hell do I know.

Meh.

Like I said.... Why would any of the other conferences show their hand at this point? As individuals or as a group? That would be stupid.
They're not the ones on the hook for $76 million apiece.

Is that what's pissing all you SEC fans off to no end?

"TX/OU plan to honor their Big 12 commitment through 2025" >>> Not nonsense

"Big 10, PAC 12, and ACC won't commit to anything on paper" >> THAT'S FUCKING NONSENSE!!!
I don’t care if it’s next year or 2025 as our circumstances or money doesn‘t really change.

If I’m the B1G then I swing my dick take first pick and let it seem everyone else is taking scrapes. They are acting like girls that need their friends to go to the bathroom with them.

They should be projecting strength and confidence and putting the PAC and ACC on their heels instead of playing defense against the SEC.

Just a hypothetical if they do have an offer elsewhere.. But they have been quiet and did not have the angry outburst other schools had
You sure? Don't you have relatives in Plainview. Perryman group did an economic study and Lubbock was really the only city that would take much of an economic hit from OU and Texas leaving. That isn't sitting well in Lubbock. I'll see if I can find the article.

If one more team bolts no one has to pay shit. Everyone makes their move and the dust settles. Playing this way they are just buying time, inviting speculation and actually potentially hurting brands they might want.

All in the name to say FU to the SEC but in reality we’ve already won and the longer this takes the better the SEC looks.

If I'm the B1G I let them to collect their $19 million first.

That's exactly what I tell them when they call. "Stand Pat we'll see you on the other side after your $58 million payday for 2022"

If they were TX/OU caliber then you'd be spot on, but there are no TX/OU's available.

i meant from the actual university.. they did not take a shot at either ou or UT the way Baylor, TCU did

Looks like schools are reaching out to join the Big12

I doubt the other Texas schools want Houston (or SMU) to be on equal footing with them.

I'm a die hard Houston Rockets basketball fan and I hate that they were sold to Fertita. He was talking on a soapbox back then coming off Tom Herman's two seasons there. He's a narcissistic douchebag.. He has hindered UH more than anyone but since he donated more money than any other UH booster, they let him run the show.

I think Memphis before UCF or Boise just because of proximity

I could see that being the move.

Big 12 East:
UCF
Cincinnati
West Virginia
Iowa State
Kansas
Kansas State

Big 12 West:
TCU
Baylor
Oklahoma State
Texas Tech
BYU
Boise State
Not bad but I have no faith in the leadership of Bowlsby and the independent School Presidents actually sticking together to make something like this actually happen.

But perhaps the schools bringing in Oliver Luck is a sign that they are trying to salvage what they can.
