I had a company truck and fuel card at the time, but I used to commute to Athens from here regularly. The quarry there was one of our biggest customers. Two routes you can reasonably take. Both take two hours one way.

I'd say I did it 3 months out of the year. It was the second closest quarry that we did significant business with though, most of the rest of the time I was in a hotel in Augusta, Columbus, or some town an hour south of Atlanta.

But, I wasn't paying for fuel or wearing out my truck either.
