The Fan Nation crew had a private thread where they just ripped on each other and were way too comfortable when they joined tHoop.....quite a few couldn't adjust with real moderation. FN had relaxed moderation unless you were in the NBA's where Sugar and a few others reported comments and then the thread looked like a drive-by.

@Illustrious Potentate and I lasted, along with a few others.....but the ones who got banned really tested the powers that be at tHoop.

The biggest difference to me the the old place lost its "edge".
When I first started over there, it didnt feel like the corporate own sites I was used to. People were pretty free to do as they wished, and it was great. I reminded me of being on construction job sites, where being crass wasnt frowned upon. The moderators were actual posters and not heavy handed. Except for hammer of course, but I think even he has gotten softer.

I was reading though this thread thinking about my response....and then I read this. Which sums up the response I was forming.

That is the difference. But even more so it feels like the politics and dissension have creeped into all forums there. Maybe that’s a product of a lot of those shit stirrers haven’t made it here....but it’s very noticeable.

And at least I know here if many of those show up I can block them and block out the PF fully on my own if need be. That kind of control of my own experience is huge.
 
When I bust out on an all-in bet, I get a $500 vBucks welfare payment here instead of $200 over there, so I have more than enough to place another all-in bet and send @moxie enough to PM me more pictures of her dick!

I hear ya smitty. @Tin Man 's "vocabulation" is way beyond my ability to comprehend. He and Harley Marlboro could have conversations on the old FN boards and none of the rest of us had a clue what they were talking about. But, one jumped out of perfectly good airplanes and the other was an English teacher so there's that!

Whenever I see something in the PF that I don't like, or a poster starts posting retarded shit that could get me upset, I just go to the NSFW section and jerk off into the trash can under my desk.

Oh, I don't hold the bannings against you at all. The stories are pretty funny. The first came when I was busting your balls about the Padres, and the second when I posted a poll about if Rothlesburger or Kobe was a better rapist. Amazing thing about the latter is that I swear I was banned within three seconds of posting that poll.

Waz has lost his fucking mind. I used to like him and he used to be reasonable. Worst case of TDS on tHoop, by far.

Yeah, please don't bust on the Padres. Definitely gonna get banned for that.

I don't think Waz is at a very happy place in his life right now, unfortunately. He seems extremely bitter and resentful.
