it is not even remotely a selling point for me, few places in MN I went to long before DDD ever showed up and they are in fact really good places to eat

probably 5-6 places here in MN he's filmed at I've been too. The original producer (and from sound of it, mostly creator, Guy apparently didn't even know what a diner was) was from MN, so not sure if he's been here more than other states, but he's done his fair share here

I watched DDD first few seasons, but gave up long ago

I do recall several years ago receiving a pumpkin beer called Icabod. It was actually pretty good

Ichabod is a good one. This one is from Masthead. I haven't tried it yet, but they usually do a pretty good job all around

Pumpkin is the new bacon. Everybody wants to put it into everything.
 
Pumpkin is good for 2 things.

Pumpkin pie and jack o lanterns.
