To those of you that like to laugh at teams celebrating hard fought, big wins...

Meh on the whole celebrating big wins thing.

I mostly agree on telling your team's critics to get fucked. There are a few exceptions here.

If one of the better FBS teams struggles vs a team they shouldn't, then they should expect people to talk shit about them.

People just can’t help themselves. That added nothing to the discussion, it wasn’t funny and it damn sure wasn’t original. This is why I hate gifs. You let simple minded people have access to them and they can’t help themselves.

Moving pictures need sound. You all know it whether you admit it or not

Football is becoming about as even as basketball. Any team can beat any team on any Saturday. The fact that these teams can win hard fought games like this deserves a celebration. We all have to admit, every major game we watched could have went either way. That FSU/Irish game could have went either way. Same as all these other games. These games were decided by mistakes and the other team being able to capitalize on them mistakes. I don't care if your team is #1 celebrate like you just won a title because that next game could be that 1 "L" they couldn't afford to take.

I would actually argue the opposite. Parity is kind of gone by the wayside in this sport thanks to Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, etc.

I felt like the sport had more parity in the 1990s and 2000s when I first started watching it. Now to beat Alabama, you need to be loaded with talent, have a stellar QB (like Joe Burrow, Deshaun Watson, or Cam Newton), and get lucky.

That isn't parity. Sure, the mid-tier teams seem easier to beat now but that is because the top 3-4 programs are sucking up all of the major talent instead of having it evenly distributed.

Only simpletons are entertained by silent films

Jethro's team hasn't won anything his entire life but he was told every year....This is the year!
He fell for it every time. He's falling for it again. Pauvre bete!

He still believes it even though it has been 40 years (+) since they've won anything of value. haha

Simpleton? Indeed!

I’m harder on my team than you’ll ever be, but LOL @ your weak minded ass being too stupid to stay on topic

OSU / Clemson winning 3 titles in this era and talent they get is not much different than what USC and Florida did in the 00s. The real fatigue is what Nick Saban has able to accomplish

Go fuck yourself, you're the worst kind of sports fan.

Was reading through the UGA-Clemson game thread, saw a couple "UGA celebrating like they won a natty lol" like beating a rival in a hard fought defensive slugfest with the long work the players putting in during the offseason paying off isn't worth celebrating. There's gonna be a lot of emotion after the clock hits zero in games like that.

I also remember similar comments after UGA made a comeback in the bowl game last year. A shorthanded team that made up a big second half deficit with a game winning 50+ yard field goal. That game was meaningless, I was happy that the players even gave a shit about the game.

So, all in all, it's ok to celebrate wins, this isn't the 60's anymore, Boomer. Get off your high horses.
Let's not forget that Clemson fans rush the field for every home win. That's right, they treat every single win as a natty win.
