Waiver Wire Wednesday

finally have a new smart phone on the way since i had to upgrade to work on t-mobile's network. have a phone from this decade now. i feel fancy.
 
The team I'm taking over has daily calls at 8AM. I had basically been starting work at 9AM since COVID started.

Fuck.

Sounds like the team you're taking over should be moving their daily calls to 0900.

well, i think they had 3 free on offer. I was between the samsung galaxy and the oneplus nord, but the oneplus nord wasn't in stock and i didn't feel like waiting. so samsung it is.
 
morning all, lawn bowling team won last night, i think our 2nd biggest win ever.

the team member that is mostly useless even contributed a few points
 
heard about another story this morning. 20 something girl is missing and her BF drove her van from Wyoming to FL all alone. Kinda got a Natalie Holloway vibe to this
 
so for my Key Largo trip I was hoping to go fly fishing for bonefish. I asked my buddy whose house I am staying at if he knew anyone I should get in touch with and he sets me up with this Capt George. I go to his site, he doesn't do fly fishing...so I email him and ask if he knows anyone who does fly fishing he can set me up with. He goes, sure, I got a guy. I never hear back from him.

So I ask my buddy again to talk to Capt George since he is in Key Largo this week. My friend gets back to me and says Capt George will take us out. I'm like "you sure? I don't think he's set up for that." Buddy says "no we are gonna go off shore fishing and you can fish off the front with your fly rod"

not what I want.

I think I am leaning towards the Samsung too...but I might wait on it to see if a new model comes out soon or if they get a Google Pixel 5 on the 5G network.

BF is refusing to cooperate and provide even a weak explanation. That doesn't help his cause much. Seems pretty guilty to me
 
I had a "you are turning into your parents" moment last night. Mrs and I were at the hardware store as I was looking for some deep well sockets. Younger guy was standing next to me looking to buy cordless drill and I told him the brand he had in his hand wasn't very good. Mrs elbows me.... "he didn't ask for your help"

I'm like holy shit, no he didn't. Why am I doing this?
