I never wanted to be a coach. I want to eat gummies and sit in the stands and enjoy myself. But I couldn’t sit back and watch my kid on bad teams w bad coaching. My hope is as he gets older he will have better coaches like he has in school now. These NFFL guys aren’t very good and I often feel bad for the one or two good kids they have because the kids are being wasted.

I hear you on that. It's hard watching Buck's games and they're getting schooled on the X's & O's. I try to subtly give him pointers at home so it doesn't look like I'm trying to interfere. I'm waiting for when he gets older as well as my cousins' boys. Break down different game film for different opponents.

We’re going 6 days a week this fall. 4 practice nights and two games each weekend. It’s been awesome for the kids w the routine and structure. I’ll miss it but I won’t, ya know? This winter it gets cut down to just Sundays indoor. One of my kids dads is assembling a super team. If all goes as planned we will have a legit travel team soon.
 
The Italian festival is this weekend... Forgot about that. Might hit that up one day

Stepson will play in OH. Cousin N1's boys would play in IN in the same conference as the alma mater. That game I'll keep out of. Cousin S2's stepsons would play in another conference in IN. See if S2's team will play the alma mater again as well as N1's team. If S2 would have stayed at my house they would have played in OH in the toughest small school conference on the worst team in that conference.
 
so we're still pretending 2nd graders can execute Art Briles style offense and complex defensive schemes
