Alberts has been very public and very buddy buddy with Frost. I think Frost would have to lose out (3-9) annnnd he still probably wouldn't be fired till after next year to save on buyout. No idea what Alberts and the boosters are gonna do. Frost has some 'close friend' support in the administrative offices and the media.
My personal opinion is that in year 4 the lack of motivation/discipline stuff among players should have washed out. Attention to detail all starts at the top.
I'd think at the very minimum there will be pressure to replace some of his 'buddy' assistants that he brought along from UCF. Could be a "Do it or else" situation. Trev Alberts knows what championship level entails, is a business personality, and has proven in a past AD job that he can be heartless. He doesn't have the same ties to the assistants that Frost does.
I won't lose sleep either way.
Don't want them to. That Washington St guy used to go to all of the GameDays with his flag (he still doing that?). We need someone to just make fun of Frost each week on GameDay.If only GameDay would pick a Nebraska game

Do Nebraska fans want Frost back? I'd be curious as to the response on that.
This Nebraska season reminds me a lot of Notre Dame's final season under Weis. Had a veteran QB(Clausen) much like Martinez, who was playing good, but could never put it completely together and lost a ton of close games along the way. Lost close against good teams, lost close against bad teams like Nebraska is. Weis obviously didn't get another year, but we were set up pretty good with Kelly coming in.
Can the same thing happen here?

I cross my fingers that Frost and Alberts sit down and renegotiate his contract and say 'hey, let's knock you down some and go out and get some real coaches, but I don't see that either. This whole lack of motivation shit kills me, like what the fuck is going on in this locker room in YEAR 4? Especially after have 3 one score games with top 10 teams, that should motivate them enough to say 'hey, we need to do a little more and not let up and we will be a real contender'.
Idk, after what I saw this weekend, I have little to no hope for the remainder of the season, I thought we were passed the losing to teams you should beat. I mean, we still have better talent than most teams in the West.
I feel same on starting over, teams don't get better starting over every 4-5 years. It's a tough road to, staying consistent to be consistent also isn't answerAt this point I'm not ready to give up on Frost but I do think the staff needs to be shuffled up next year. To RA's point above, in year 4 we shouldn't be seeing the same dumb shit that we've been seeing forever now. Player development and offensive game planning seem non-existent.
It also kills me when you see even teams like Purdue beat teams that they shouldn't. Mel Tucker at Michigan State has them playing like a top 10 team in year two coming off of a disastrous year one. 15-25 thru 4 years isn't cutting it. Nebraska on paper should have the talent to compete for the West year in and year out especially when you've seen teams with less do more.
For me though, there has already been so much turmoil and upheaval at Nebraska over the last 20 years that I just want some consistency, stability and a foundation that the whole fan base can get behind. Seemed like we were headed there when Frost was hired after years of in-fighting amongst fans. But that hasn't proven true. How long should his leash be now? I don't know but I'm not ready to cut ties just yet.

Heck. I could play that game.
For the good of the program and players, Trev has to support Frost publicly until he don't.
I think like in any of these situations, Alberts is gonna do what the boosters tell him to do.
There might be a low percentage of "Trust me on this" either way by Alberts, but not much.
As I said, Trev is no longer the great football player, he's now a suit and tie business guy.
There is a difference between support and being public at nearly every event with said coach. Moos supported Frost, Moos wasn't nearly as public as Alberts has been. Maybe I am just noticing it more, idk. I think there is a semblance of both of them being 90's guys, they want to get that 90's excitement back.... we just need to see an inkling of that success. Trev has been talking about the locker rooms each week, how the teams been responding, doing interviews and events with Frost... again, maybe I am just noticing it more now, idk...

No you’re a sterile pair of dingleberries.
1:05 Mark. 2nd and goal from the 1 yard line. Pretty clear targeting that wasn't called. Knocked RB Johnson out of the game and completely flipped Nebraska's offensive momentum.

When folks start leaving home games early and empty seats are visible in the mother ship Mr. Alberts will force changes. Frost has a huge problem named 2AM. I heard Frost refused to go under center on the goal line because AM has a bad ankle. A good coach would sub him out and run a different QB. I was more pissed that they didn’t run Yant at least twice there.
