I was out on him 2 years ago (which may have been a little early). He certainly should have been fired last year but the admin pussied out.

So this year I've been in win/win mode; meaning if we win a game, great, its fun to win. If he lose a game, its still a win because we're one step closer to Fuente being fired.

Everyone knew it was a terrible decision to keep him around for this season and many of us even said that before last season. Bye Fuelisha

yup...they prematurely extended his contract a few years in when LSU wanted to interview Fuente before they had committed to Ed O.

Rumor was that they had the buyout money already raised and earmarked during the offseason but pussied out for some reason. Even had a press conference to announce he was staying. If you need a press conference to announce the retention of a coach.....then you should not be retaining that coach.

I heard that last season his buyout would have been that amount, but like after December 18th last year, it went down quite a bit. Guess not low enough, cuz they still kept his ass.

Significant amount of people wanted him last year. Now, I think its less. But its basically moot anyway because Shane has been pretty clear that he wants to be his own man so to speak. Can't fault him for that at all. It's basically an impossible task to replace your Dad who is the one that built the program
