Yeah, unsportsmanlike penalty calls are dumb as shit unless it is something serious. This should NOT have been called.

I saw it live.
He definitely did a "Prime Time" Move at the 3 yard-line - which I recognized as he did it and cringed.
It is a penalty.
It was called.
Iowa State overcame it, scored another TD after the penalty and played with their hair on fire for the rest of the game.
That being said, it is a lame penalty, and I figured this would happen in a meanigful game this year. I just didn't expect it to be in an Iowa State game!
The kicker is that Xavier Hutchinson is a really mild mannered kid and a GREAT team-mate. He also had a fantastic game - catching 12 passes for 125 yards and 2 TDs today.

By rule it was the correct call. As someone who had his team benefit from it I thought it was complete bullshit. He was high stepping and although I have no issue with a kid celebrating a big play, he committed a spot foul and by the rules he should have been flagged.
It was a key moment in a big game and the refs should have eaten their whistles there. But technically it was an easy call and and a spot foul. That being said they scored a couple of plays later so it didn't matter.

It's hilarious to me in a sport where one of the primary objectives is to level each other that taunting is a penalty at all.
Nope...it was a penalty cause the ref threw the flag and it was upheld. Refs were right and you are wrong...per the norm.
