What's Your "Will It Ever End" Game/Season?

Oklahoma, ranked #2, getting beat 31-6 in the 1978 Orange Bowl. Arkansas was ranked #6 and had three key players suspended for the game who had accounted for 78% of their points that season. #1 Texas had lost earlier in the day and the table was set for OU to win another National Championship. Then the fumbles started on offense and OU's defense collapsed. Oklahoma had been a 24 point favorite. Maybe the worst upset in OU history.

For some reason, Florida games tend to stand out to me as the worse games although Alabama with Saban is starting to get rough.

What frustrated me about Florida is that sometimes we would be better and still lose to them. 2007 Florida blowout really stands out to me as painful for some reason. 2014 and 2015 were painful losses as well (both game down to the very end).

Kentucky 2020 was really rough for Tennessee as well but was the game that probably turned the fanbase against Pruitt and got rid of him.

i bet

as someone that didn't start watching cfb on a regular basis until 2006, the idea of LSU losing nine games in a season is fucking insane

the HC that was responsible for that season shouldn't be allowed to function in a civilized society

send his ass to gitmo

I've been in the darkest of valleys, and I've been on the highest of mountain tops as an LSU fan.

Wild ride.

Auburn is peaks and valleys. I’ve learned to embrace both because the peaks are awesome but also stressful. The bad means change is coming.

I like fresh start years like this one where there is a lot of new stuff going on and you’re seeing progression week to week.

Its always a bummer when it’s over regardless.

It’s fun though.

How boring would be to a Bammer? They get like 2 games a year worth a shit and get pissed if they aren’t undefeated. The kids that are growing up in this are going to be sorely disappointed down the road and will make everyone sick of them talking about the past.

Bitch, why you naming me relive this?!?!?

Your name is “college fb fan”. know your history, jabroni!!!
Oh man, 2001 was still a little early for me. I remember the Holiday Bowl against Washington with the great Longhorns comeback. Applewhite saved the day. I loved that game and have watched it more than three times.

So, I have really been only keeping up with college football since 1997. Just curious, what is the game or season that you thought would never end? Maybe your QB is in the middle of throwing his 5th interception. Maybe your team has lost three in a row. Or what seems to be an endless bowl drought. What ya got?
How many seasons/games are we allowed?

Well a couple here and there or the absolute most painful. Ya see I can just about go back and say every November for the Hokies. And this season is shaping up to be quite a bitch...

End of Gibbs' era to the beginning of Stoops' era.

It'd be easier for me to list the ones that weren't as you described in the criteria.

2003. Mike Shula. We had 9 losses, lost to all of our SEC rivals along with Northern Illinois and Hawaii. Our wins came over South Florida, Kentucky, Southern Miss and Miss State.
