James Franklin confuses Ohio State for both Illinois and Michigan in one press conference

lol

He may be a tad distracted right now.

Is SC or LSU prepared to give James Franklin 8-10M a year? Is he worth that?

USC can pay him that much. I don't know if they are convinced enough that he's the right guy to actually pay him that much.

Well, shit. How much can JFrank improve USC when he gets there? We talking top 5, top 10 or merely bowl seasons? (But this mofo is gone! Hope none of his assistants committed felonies while they were there.)

Well, he's gotten Penn St. into the top 5 or 10. He should be able to do that if he hires the right assistants.

I'm sure he's a good coach. He just comes off as unlikable to me.

I honestly haven't paid enough attention to know how likeable he is. From what I've heard about him, he's good with boosters, etc. but I have no idea how true that is.

I'd say USC could anticipate being a top 10 team consistently and that would be a huge improvement and worth the $$$. All of the PAC 12 should be rooting for y'all to land him because of how big of a boost a contender USC program is for the entire conference. I wish y'all luck because by proxy it also helps CFB as a whole.

I think he's getting $5 million per year at Penn State so a school like USC (his dream job) might could get him as cheap as $6 million, which is about the minimum you're gonna get an established HC from a P5 program for.

Idk what has happened behind the scenes at PSU, but it seems like he wants out. The ghost of JoePa probably won't stop showering with the players.

I doubt Penn State lets him walk over a 1M difference.

Has Franklin ever said USC is his dream job? He's a PA guy so that would be a little surprising.

Every Penn State fan I know tells me that he's loved by the boosters.

when he was at Vandy, all of my relatives that went to UGA hated him. they also mentioned how Franklin got into a confrontation with the UGA DC at the time who happened to be Todd Grantham. you could argue that would make Franklin a hero tho

You are correct, sir. I got confused about his quote.

But frankly, if all else is equal and it's Penn State or USC, I think you take USC every time. (I would at least, I saw those chicks at the UCLA game.)

Franklin's new agent is going to let him leave Penn State without a major pay raise. Either from USC or LSU. It's also possible Penn State would match it.

LMFAO he's going to be even worse than Clay Helton

imagine hiring this idiot if you're a so called 'major program'... who the hell does that?

One of your 127 favorite teams

Urban, is that you?

So did ANY of the media people call him on that during the presser? Even a little “coach it’s Ohio State this week not Illinois” comment ect.?
