They don't always go after the QB. Sometimes they just contain him, or stay in position for a screen. They did it with Clifford, which during that time, Clifford got to the point where he was able to pass good. When they started rushing him, that is where he found holes and took off running.

I would say Iowa's pass coverage is probably overrated. I would often think Iowa has one of the best pass coverages and then see they are ways down on allowed passing yards and such. What it is that makes them special is they are always positioned right for mistakes. The offense almost doesn't want to over- or under-throw. They wouldn't want the ball to pop up in the air. The offense has to play near perfect to make Iowa's defense look bad, which Purdue did.

Iowa doesn't make in-game adjustments. They play game after game the same way. Iowa doesn't prepare for dynamic players. They'll let a guy like Purdue's David Bell get stupid numbers while continuing to play that zone D. Iowa has success when they blitz, but rarely will Parker attempt something so "risky"

As much as I dislike our current wooden Indian QB, he doesn't get much play call support. We have the most predictable and conservative offense in the country. Most highschool teams run a more dynamic offense.

I don't see much to make me think anything different will happen Saturday.

It would be something if THIS Wisconsin team somehow managed to win the B1GW. With that said, when I generally don't care who wins, I root for chaos. So Wisconsin winning would create more of it. Also, it'd keep open a chance for the Gophers to make the B1G title game.
