McShay said on ESPN’s Get Up this week that Willis is someone, “who has emerged as the No. 1 clear cut quarterback in this year’s class, coming out of Liberty, I think they have to make that pick. He’s a bigger, mobile version. … I think he creates more and he’s more dynamic throwing the ball on the run, and throwing the ball down the field than Hurts has been in his first couple of years with the Eagles.”

I was shocked when I saw this as I don't remember him being all that impressive at Auburn but I haven't seen him play at Liberty. So is this BS or has Malik come into his own and Malzahn shit the bed on QB evaluation?

I think it is due to this appearing to be a VERY weak QB draft class, and they are trying their best to hype a QB. Either Malik or Corral are the best options, meaning not good ones at all.

It’s VERY weak draft class. There isn’t any jump out at you players. Not happy as a Lions fan.

I'd go with Corral 1st and Willis 2nd.

But, I think it's still wide open.

(On a Friday night of bland games the one exciting thing will be getting to watch Carson Strong play.)

Is Willis that good? Better than Nix?

The Lions couldn't win with Stafford.
Stafford did a great job of being shitty all on his own. He had the best wide receiver since Rice and he shat the bed, time and time again.

It's not that Willis is bad he's just not an ideal #1 QB to have in the class and is only there because someone has to be at the top. I'd take him over Zack Wilson, but that is mostly because I have a low opinion on Wilson as an NFL QB.

The only difference between this years class and last years class is Trevor Lawrence

Theres always another Willis/Corral/Lance/Fields or Pickett/McCall/Wilson/Jones

If Lawrence were in this years class itd be seen as better than last years

I'll be honest: I have no idea who Todd McShay is

Earnestly. Idk. It's a weird year in that I don't think there's any clear cut answers about who ranks where at the QB position. By the numbers Malik Willis edges him out, although Nix has faced tougher competition. Most of the rankings of all positions I've seen puts Willis somewhere in the 20s.

As an Eagles fan, and having watched Hurts all season, I'm hoping we draft a QB. I do think Willis is the best prospect. We aren't winning shit with Hurts.

I prefer my QBs to be 6' 9" and taller.

I could buy it. This year's QB class is pretty damn week. Corral is probably the best one and talent wise isn't even worth a 1st round pick imo. Based on how the NFL works, he will be (and probably others as well), but I'm just strictly talking talent wise.

I hope they don't and I especially hope they don't bunch all their draft picks to trade up and reach for one. They'll likely have two top 10 picks and another around 20 or so. I'd be pissed if they use even two of those to trade up. If they use one to get the best qb wherever that may be then ok. I'd rather they load up on best players available and maybe get a qb next year.

Ain’t nobody trading up for a QB this year.

We won't have to trade up. Us sucking will make us a top 5 pick. Plus the Dolphins suck too so there's might be top 5 as well. At least top 10. I like Willis as a prospect. But we shouldn't trade up for him or any QB, I agree. We need alot.

Are you happy with Goff?
