Full disclosure I took it on the chin last week and went 1 & 2 but I'm still 6 and 3 for the season vs the spread. Things I learned last week:
1. NEVER bet on Nebraska
2. Stay away from Mike Leach games when he is at home
We have 4 games this week:
NC @ FSU +3 - This one is simple FSU is not a good football team and NC State has been very consistent this year with the only surprising loss to Miami who also beat Pitt this past Saturday. FSU got their heart taken from them last week by Clemson and honestly, at this point the only thing they are going to be focused on is Florida because that is all that can salvage their season. NC State has always played FSU tough so give up the points and take NC State.
Michigan State @ Purdue +3 - Plain and simple I believe in Sparty! As long as K9 is healthy they can play with anyone in the B1G and the coast by Purdue by at least 7. Give up the points and ride the Sparty bus.
Baylor @ TCU +6.5 - This line is a gift so load up as this is the Blue Plate/Mortgage the Farm/Blood bank withdrawal pick of the year! Baylor has been one of the most consistent in college football and that is what we look for (and why we will not bet on KY again this season) and TCU has been giving up points to everyone. Add in that everyone at TCU will be distracted and it all adds up to a big Baylor win. Give up the points and that Bears.
Oregon @ Washington +6.5 - Let's mince words, Washington is a BAD football team even for PAC standards and that is such a low bar it's incredible that they were able to reach it. If there was an award for the most mismanaged program in college football Jimmy Lake runs away with it. The Ducks cruise easily and more than cover so take the Ducks.
Consistency is the theme this week and that horse is going to ride you into riches. No need to thank me as I do this out of the goodness in my heart.
