Guess the CFP Top 25

I would like to point out that @ELTEXAN just Rainbowed me for a negative Oklahoma post.

Big 12!
Big 12!
Big 12!

Conference nut-swinging at its finest.
I rainbowed you for your sec nut swinging .

SEC champ won’t be left out. An SEC team has never dropped a first round game.

Until they do the committee has no choice.
a 2 loss team has never made it in.
and 1 Alabama lost the very first year to 4 Ohio State.

lol.

This committee always has been and always will be a fuckin' joke.

Why let teams play their way into the playoff when you can just get a group of retards together in a room and have them rank teams based on reputation and last year's performance?

I swear if these idiots had the same job in the NFL the Chiefs would be a top 5 team because "they have a lot of talent on paper and they were in the Super Bowl last year".

I didn't expect OU to be top 4 but at 8. Fucking laughable.

Whatever.
Just swap the names on Alabama and Oklahoma and they switch places in the rankings.

The committee just drug their nuts over OU's face.

Im a who's better guy? You put Cincy and Alabama on the field together and....:finebaum:
That is exactly what "has happened" and "would happen" more in an expanded playoff. Settled on the field. We've had some ass whoopin's in playoff games where "experts" (and committee members) thought some teams were better than they were. But, at least they were beaten on the field (even if badly) instead of beaten in a cigar smoke filled, back room. JMO

Agreed ... the weakness of the PAC will weigh them down. They can't lose another. You guys winning out actually helps them.

Yep they can really only go down bc of their schedule.
The lack of SMU or Houston being on the board is going to do the same thing for Cincy. They were/are needing them to be up there somewhere because their schedule outside of Notre Dame is pretty poor. The records of their opponents haven't done them any favors.

It's going to be tough for Michigan ... If we win out (in my opinion) you would have to lose two. Don't!! I really don't want to back in ... just win out!!! Let's hand osu 3 losses.
I think any of the 3 B10 teams in the East, ranked in the top 7 right now has the potential at being the 2nd B10 team in the playoff. MSU would need to lose two, which is still very feasible. Both have a tough road ahead with PSU and OSU left.

I rainbowed you for your sec nut swinging .
You rainbowed a post that was 100% dinging Oklahoma and had nothing to do with the SEC.

Slowly raises hand and points to 2014 Alabama......

You can't expect an Auburn fan to remember that far back.

a 2 loss team has never made it in.
and 1 Alabama lost the very first year to 4 Ohio State.

The drunk bird has selective memory. And Bama was the #1 seed that year IIRC.
Fine I did forget that one so let me rephrase....no SEC team has gotten blown out in the playoff.

The point is the SEC has represented well and that matters. In 2017 if Auburn had beat Georgia for the second time in the SECCG they would have been in as the committee was signaling the crap out that.

It's a moot point because Auburn is not going to win out this year and we most likely lose this weekend but hypothetically yeah they are in because they would have the two best losses in the country and the two best wins in Georgia and Alabama plus two other top 10 wins. The resume would be better than anyone on the table.

Now I can get behind these 100%! :beer2:

Rankings are never perfect but especially the first week of the CFP rankings, every single year there are issues but it always seems to work itself out every year. Plus, a teams' resume now can look pretty different by the end of the year and that matters. A handful of teams can control their own destiny just like every year.

The CFP committee controls who gets in. A team only controls what it does on the field.
