Guess the CFP Top 25

Not sure there can be any debate at this point...

I have a buddy, him and I will just goof off and play a game of horse every once in a while. Well he is 0-21 (most recent loss was yesterday actually lol) against me and I joke with him all the time saying the law of averages says you're bound to get one sooner or later lol.

Ironically, he shoots well when there is no game and just chillin, but once we agree to a game he crumbles. It's the pressure lol.

Do they control it or do they let it play out? Name a year where they got it "wrong". There might have been one year, there was debate between two teams but other than that...yes, like I said the rankings aren't perfect at the beginning but it sorts itself out and that is bc teams control how they play on the field. So no, teams control their destiny.

Teams like Cincy don't though. Does it take one year of Cincy sliding in and getting their ass handed to for people to realize they don't belong. They need to get in a P5 conference or further more in a top conference. Not likely so if they don't do that they need to load up on big non-conference games. They did play ND and that is just bad luck the way it played out but they need more than one non-conference big game if they want a chance. That's just the way it works.

You have the year where they dropped a team from 3 to 6 after a blowout win in order to let one of the chosen teams into the playoffs. If you aren’t one of the chosen teams, you have only one option, undefeated or you are out of the playoffs. Lose once and get fucked.

As long as the committee picks who gets in, they control it. Just because you can't argue with their choices is beside the point.

Ironically the only 12-1 P5 champ to ever miss the playoffs was Ohio State in 2018.

We've come so close over the last couple decades on so many occasions; in all big games and not only just against OSU. Something tragic (from our perspective) always happens to steal the win out from under us. We have to just get a lucky call, a lucky bounce....something, at some point. It's just so weird to continuously have 9-10 win seasons with really nothing to celebrate about them.

It is tough and at times I almost feel bad for you. Then, I laugh and shake my head. It's funny that you dream of the CFP when you can't even get in the CCG.

One of my first experiences as a fan was watching Spartan Bob add a phantom second to the clock in 2001. It was just an omen for the next two decades. My fandom has been filled with Shawn Crable late hits, App State field goals, blown 4th quarter leads, failed 2 points conversions and massive ref calls that went against us.

Pretty much any time in the history of my fandom that I've had people over to watch a big game, we've lost it.
