Good for Minnesota.

Not including the covid season, Minnesota is 17-4 in the last 21 games under Fleck
They were 3-4 in 2020 which isn’t terrible and 2 of their losses where Maryland and Wisconsin in overtime.

...and his agent didn't even have to leak some scuttlebutt to get it?

Yeah and they were hit bad by covid. I know they played short handed in a lot of games

Going to have to change his motto from Row The Boat to Drive The Yacht.

Someone must have came snooping around, or his agent seeded the administration with some BS to get the extension.

You gotta admit for Minnesota he's got a culture going on there. Inconsistent, but a winning culture nonetheless. Fleck would be far more successful with Top 20 talent.

I was wondering if USC might have had their eye on PJ after Minnesota started winning again, this pretty much answers that for me.

We know extensions don't mean he won't move on, but he strikes me as a guy who will stick it out. There was a guy on the old Hoop who went on and on about Minny, but he did post some interesting videos about their facilities and Minn in general. I can see them building a decent program, if not a NC caliber program. The 12 team CFP is designed for a program like Minny. Get in that a few times and see what happens to recruiting.

hmmm. Too soon IMO.

Glen Mason had a (10-3) season, two 8 win seasons, and two 7 win seasons at Minny.
Jerry Kill had two 8 win seasons in Minny.
Tracy Clays had a 9 win season in Minny.

Fleck just has the one 11 win season

They didn't play Ohio St, Michigan, or Sparty in that 11 win season, but they did beat (9-4) Auburn in the Outback Bowl.

Oh there is some desperation on Minnys part, JMO but I think Fleck would prob work well at USC so they have to do what they have to do to try n keep him. I dunno who Minny can get if Fleck rolls out considering the political mess that place is these days.
