Give him a break. It is going to take Nebraska fans some time to realize, the days of being an elite power is gone and won't be coming back. His expectation is to regularly win their division -- something Nebraska hasn't been able to do, even though they are in one of the bottom 2 or 3 divisions in CFB.
Their rival now is who? Iowa or Wisconsin? They are playing majority of their games in the Midwest. If a recruit from outside the Midwest wants to play games in the Midwest -- Nebraska is way down the list of choices to go to. If a recruit is from the Midwest -- again, Nebraska is way down the list of choices to go to.
Out of the blue bloods who have struggled recently -- the one who has the longest shot at ever being relevant against on a national level is Nebraska. It sucks to say that, as Nebraska has great fans and are nice as can be.
