Can we stop pretending that Bama is a great team now?

I anticipated LSU to come in and give us a good game. By far LSU's best performance of the season. That was the worst entire game Bama has played all season, some of it brought on by LSU and some was just self inflicted bullshit. I am not sold on the OC staying for long and hope he gets offers to move on. The DC has needed to go for a while, and its been really glaring this season.

No, Bama is not a great team. I am not sure any team could be after what they lost from last year. Are they a good team though? Absolutely.

Coach O was a POS at the game. I was in the student section and 3 times, once in the middle of the game he came down to the student section (in the end zone) and was basically flipping them off. Throwing up his Ls. Ever seen 25K people shoot double fingers at someone, and "fuck you asshole" get yelled for a couple minutes. That was it. It was glorious.

Pretty classless, but who expect otherwise from a classless guy. He's going to have a hard time getting a job for a while.

Alabama doesn't look like Alabama. They remind me of their 2019 team.

Still, they are a playoff contender and a very dangerous squad to not be taken likely. That is what you get when your program has the top players and top coach. It still takes a major effort to beat those guys.

Let's also be honest, LSU has tons of talent. They have just not been able to come together as a great team. However, no one really feels good about playing LSU despite these issues because when they do gel every once in a while, they can beat almost anyone.

Bama didn’t want to be there. Players were too busy checking draft status. The media is rat poison and shouldn’t be trusted.

Was LSU running that highly deadly CoVid Hurry Up offense?

Interesting post. I have always though Saban's greatest strength as a coach has been his ability to keep his talented players from getting too big of a head and keeping them out of trouble.

When Tennessee had some of the top talent, we had them mouthing off, getting in trouble with the law, quitting on us in games, etc. Funny how there were some players from Tennessee that would struggle or be very inconsistent in Knoxville and then go on to kill it in the NFL because they were just head cases. In fact the "talented" players getting big heads has lead to the downfall of a lot of programs but Saban has avoided that for the most part.

My post was a spoof of excuses Bama has used in the past. It didn’t have any other purpose.

I've always thought Saban's greatest strength was his ability to adapt. I'm sure he's got a big ego but he's willing to check it at the door and change with the times if it means winning. Just my observation.

I can see that.

Without a doubt. No coach has adapter to the evolution of the game better than Saban. You know he’d love to run a ground and pound offense and play great defense and win every game 24-10, but then he saw what Manziel, Malzahn and Ohio State were doing and he changed his offense. Wasn’t overnight, but it was pretty damn quick

OK, I’ll play the game. So, I would say that our offense & defense coordinators suck ass. Saban is not in the day to day coaching anymore. There may have been a time that he was but he just manages his coaching staff now. Seems like we trade coordinators out just about every year with Pete Golding being the longest defensive coordinator we’ve had in a while.

We have a very young team, we lost a lot to the NFL. We are definitely not the number two team in the nation. As of right now my expectations are just getting to Atlanta and getting our ass beat by Georgia. If that happens, I’ll look forward
to next year and hope that both O’Brien and Golding are gone.

carry-on….

Took the bait so hard, he swallowed the hook.
I wasn’t even trying to hook anything. It was just a goofy comment that was a throw away.

I feel like I’ve committed child abuse.
