This is a joke right?

Should be, but isn’t.

Soto is most deserving of the 3, but pretty bad when none of the 3 finalists saw postseason action and only one had a winning record (a whopping 82 wins)

Horrible joke. Can't be most valuable & if you can't get your team in the playoffs. Lots more valuable players out there.

I think Harper is going to edge out Soto with Tatis finishing a distant third.

And then we can all point out how the "MVP" was so good that in a late September series to decide the NL East, he went 0-for the series.

MVP is an individual award. Has nothing to do with team.
How valuable are you if your team sucks?

Goldschmidt, Crawford and Riley is any order should be the top 3

Well then Rename it MOP not MVP

Padres epically collapsed.
Nats lost over 90 games and finished last.

Harper came to Atlanta the last week of the season with Everything on the line and went 0-14 with 6Ks and GOT SWEPT

A player who produces enough, no matter how you measure it, to be a higher proportion of his team's wins is the MVP.

Let's use WAR for instance. If a player produces 10 WAR on a 100 win team, he produced 10% of wins. If it was on a 70 win team, he produced 14%. Which one was more valuable?

Padres could have collapsed without Tatis. Nats could have lost 90 games without Soto. Phillies could have extended the NL’s longest playoff drought without Harper

LOL at all of the Braves fans on this board thinking that team should sweep all of the awards.

HAHAHAHA
Nobody said a word about a Brave deserving the Cy Young and it’s a consensus that Kapler deserves manager of the year.

I’m not even saying Riley should be MVP since Goldy, Crawford and even Muncy have good cases, just that he’s more deserving than the 3 finalists

i'll start

Luke Jackson should be the Cy Young

and sports leagues need to rename the MVP award to "POY" or "MOP"

players used to be punished for being a great player on a bad team. That is no longer the case.

Works for me

Though I prefer Jesse Chavez. 50 year old pulled from the scrap heap due to desperation for pen arms and gets a ring out of it

I agree. The best pitcher doesn't always play for the best team. The best player doesn't always play for the best team. The Cy Young Award os PK. Maybe name the player Award The Ernie Banks Award

Robin Yount won his second MVP in 89 with the Brewers finishing at a .500 record.
