I’m going to flip this on you a little bit. Back when the Big 12 first formed if you guys had setup a better conference structure and kept everyone in the fold you would have had a counter balance.

The Big 10 stands on its own and “Disney” hasn’t hurt their brand. You could have done the same with ESPN or FOX with 4 strong historical programs as anchors.

The Big 12 demise isn’t big bad “Disney’s fault, it’s yours. Every move you guys made regarding governance and revenue came back to bite you.

Go back 20 odd years, change things and the landscape is very different. That’s not in anyone else.

The PAC’s and ACC’s problem is leadership. Both conferences have had weak leadership and it’s cost them. No reason Clemson, FSU and Miami couldn’t carry that conference and they have 3 natties in the last 10 years.

But that isn’t really what is happening. Are some people moving out of California and the west coast, sure. But it is highly over politicized. Are parts of Seattle, Portland and LA absolute hell on earth, yes. But at least in Portland and Seattle metro areas that is where nearly all of the wealth is. The wealth in California has never been in LA and is essentially still there outside of Tesla moving. As of Washington unless Amazon moves out then there will never be a population exodus. It is one of the hottest housing markets in the country because Amazon, Expedia, TMobile and Microsoft and recruited college students globally to move to the metro area. But again that goes back to the issue of people growing up and having kids and them not caring about local teams. I’m obviously a Coug but my wife is a Tar Heel and one of my kids grandpa’s wants all of them attending to attend one of the Tobacco Road schools.

This is tongue in cheek but it is what happens when the indigenous people get outnumbered by the white man.

Last week Lake was quoted that UW is trying to be like Notre Dame, Stanford a school where academics are at a higher standard and requirements are tougher. WTF?
Lincoln Kennedy graduated from UW with an Arts major ( Basket weaving basically) So basically the admin decided that since they haven't had a winning program since the Art major played there they are raising the requirements? The blind leading the blind

Just weird unless they are working on someway to convince him to resign why Cohen would say she doesn’t think his intent was to harm the player or however she phrased it. I am no lawyer but it doesn’t seem there could be language in his contract that changes from a suspension to all of a sudden grounds for termination.
