Weight Gain/Loss during the Pandemic, be honest

don’t have room for long bar and plates. That was the trade off. With the stuff I added it’s pretty tight in there. It’s also why I’ll eventually go back to a gym but this does ok for now.

Makes sense. I need to buy a hex bar. Really great and doesn’t take up nearly as much room as a full bar.

People give themselves too many outs. That’s why they end up in front of some doctor one day giving them bad news. A lot of that can be avoided by being blunt and honest - dare I say a little tough on one self - earlier in life.
Confidence is being your best self. Arrogance is thinking that is better than someone else

I get feeling good and feeling accomplished when it comes to working out

but I don't get why he limits it to weight lifting

working out is working out is working out

A PT doesn’t limit anything to anything. Which is why I’m advising you to get over your fear of weight lifting and add it to your routine designed for a 55 year old woman. Is that arrogant?

don't have a fear of it at all...it just doesn't interest me.

and when did anyone call you arrogant?

So nothing. Please save your liberal buzz words for the PF.
what buzzword?

maybe you should read a book or something because you seem to have a hard time following along in these threads

“Best self” give me a break. This ain’t Facebook.

when did I say "best self"

there are plenty of ways one can build their self confidence...it doesn't need to be in the gym

I know that's your livelihood and you get paid by making others feel shitty about their current situation...but it ain't working here

Apparently a lot of people think their “best self” is masking up, taking a bunch of shots, and going on w business as usual.

No change in diet, exercise, drug and alcohol use etc…

If thinking you’re better or above that is arrogant then I’ll take arrogant over best self all day.

I think confidence is the ability to be honest with yourself and with others. Even if it’s a little mean.

If you lifted more you would have the confidence to. deal with my honesty.

The honesty is appreciated.

for some people, that is

Like I said, you get business by making others feel like they aren't good enough and that you can get them to be their "best self"

but that isn't for everyone

frankly, I think your mindset is hilarious. No one here "can't handle your honesty"

we just aren't buying your sales pitch.
