Name A Player Who....

Lou Boudreau in Fenway

Kenny Boyer played for the Mets.

I recall that he and Mets coach Whitey Herzog shared a two bedroom apartment with his brother Clete and Roger Maris (Clete Boyer as an Atlanta Brave is another good one). I don't know who had the place if the Yankees and Mets were both at home but I doubt it was a crazy party given the players that were involved.

Shit. My bad! Maybe that’s how he popped to mind for me.

Nah, it's because he was just a good answer to the question posed

Like I said in my post, Reggie really seems to fit the bill for this because his season with the Os was a decent season right in the middle of his career, not a "shitty and hanging on at the end" season or a "just starting out before they traded him away and he became good" season

Ozzie Smith-Padres

Ozzie might have retired a Padre if he'd had a different agent, apparently everyone in the organization loved him but really couldn't stand his representation. I remember when they traded him to the Cards he had a no-trade clause that they had to buy him out of and it was for a one year contract!

Wander Franco

No, not that one. Nope, not that one. Nope, the other one. There you go.

Those are the ones that stand out for me. We can find many hanging on old guys on other teams in all sports…..but this is the optimum example.

Oh for sure, those types are most plentiful. But I figure if you look for something more rare you often get to dig more/deeper

Curt Schilling - Astros

Pedro Martinez - Expos
Larry Walker - Expos

Not really qualifying but forget sometimes that Griffey went back to Seattle.

And when he did Gregg Doyel wrote a column boohooing about it and got e-murdered for it
Griffey also played for the White Sox

Morneau on the Pirates was weird as hell

David Ortiz - Twins ... for 6 damn seasons.
